A unique course designed for anyone wishing to deepen their knowledge of the Italian language through the world of gastronomy – whether for professional training in Italian cuisine or simply for the pleasure of exploring one of the most beloved aspects of Italian culture.
Perfect both for those preparing to attend culinary schools or chef training programmes in Italy, and for curious enthusiasts eager to understand the language of food in its cultural and practical expressions.
Theoretical Component
The course aims to strengthen overall language skills, with a special focus on listening and speaking. Vocabulary and expressions specific to the world of Italian cuisine and gastronomy are explored in depth. Activities also include reading and understanding texts related to culinary topics – from traditional recipes to food culture and regional specialities.
Practical Component
Twice a week, participants step into the kitchen for hands-on cooking sessions led by an Italian chef. During these workshops, typical Italian dishes are prepared from scratch – an opportunity to apply the language in an authentic and engaging setting.
The course also includes an introduction to Italian wines and how to pair them with different dishes, as well as guided visits to local food markets and wine shops, offering real-world interaction with the language of food.
This course is quite compatible with some Italian Language Courses.
